Job Description
As a Texture Artist at Ubi MTL, you'll make an immersive world come alive by creating and applying textures that give depth and dimension to everything within it. With a mix of observation, skill, and imagination, you add the details that define characters, objects, and environments.
You take inspiration from reality to build believable materials and adapt to new tools to push them to their full potential. You freely choose the methods that work best for you to create a finished look that fits the feel of the game and makes it memorable.
What you’ll do
- Collaborate with the art team to grasp the game’s artistic vision and set texture priorities.
- Study concept art and research your own references to develop the visual design language.
- Work closely with level artists to understand environment needs.
- Create textures from scratch, references, or scans & build and organize your texture library.
- Partner with modellers to suggest textures and help with 3D mapping.
- Find balance between artistic aspects and technical constraints.
- Polish textures and apply them to 3D models.
- Document and share your knowledge and best practices.
- Modify your work based on feedback received from interdependent teams (debug and optimize).
Qualifications

- Experience in texturing, modelling, lighting, or other related experience

Job Description
As an Art Team Lead - at Ubi MTL, your main responsibilities will be to plan, organize, monitor and evaluate the work of your team and its impact on the project. You will support a highly iterative development process to oversee artistic elements such as modeling, visual effects and lighting that meet their cinematic needs while striving for efficiency and quality.
What you'll do
- Create, prioritize, assign and monitor your team's daily tasks and work progress based on deliverables;
- Act as a representative of your team;
- Organize and manage team meetings;
- Familiarize yourself with the story and gameplay of the game (game design documents) and master the technical and/or artistic constraints in order to guide/coach your team;
- Report periodically to the PM on the progress of your team's tasks, and suggest corrective measures where necessary to meet set objectives;
- Anticipate and identify potential conflict situations and suggest solutions to the PM as part of problem-solving within your team;
- Mentor team members on a technical and/or artistic level, as required;
- Participate in performance monitoring in collaboration with the PM;

As an Assistant Animation Technical Director at Ubi MTL, you will support the design and implementation of the technical animation pipeline, production workflow and the technical requirements for delivery and needs of the projects assigned to you. In concert with the other department managers, you will support the direction, design and technological vision of the animation pipelines & tools for the pipeline [real-time].
What you'll do
- Define your team’s technical needs by consulting project documents and communicating with those involved in the development of the creative vision (design and artistic) in collaboration with the TD;
- Help develop/select the best internal and external tools, in collaboration with the TD, to enhance and facilitate the work of the animation team by testing tools before they are deployed on the project and ensuring their proper functioning throughout the process;
- Suggest best practices to the TD to standardize work methods and ensure the validity and integrity of the data by drafting and updating pipeline documents on a regular basis, setting out a common classification system, training processes users and regularly reminding the animation team members of the technical constraints and their rationale;
- Ensure the technical validation of the data produced by the animation team, resolve first-line technical issues to support the team by working in close collaboration with programmers and the TD, inform the TD of any current and/or future technical issues and recommend solutions;
- Participate in the optimization and debugging to fix the issues raised in your field of expertise;
- Inform the TD on the advancement of the work on a regular basis to ensure that the TD is able to assess the progress of the deliverables;

Job Description
Ubisoft IT is looking for a Digital Asset Management Specialist to join the Publishing Service team which is a content product and operations team. This team’s main mission is to provide its internal partners, the video game production companies, with the keys to understanding the gamers, the market, the evolutions, and long-term trends so that we can make the most informed strategic and operational decisions possible.
As a Digital Asset Management Specialist, you will participate in the configuration of the new solution and manage the lifecycle of all marketing digital assets such as key art, trailers, and screenshots, across the company with an emphasis on asset ingestion, tagging, organizing, distributing, and archiving assets. You will also define and ensure that the best Digital Asset Management (DAM) practices and processes are applied for the efficient use of the system. Finally, you will drive the organization of collections, the nature of the relationships between assets, and establish naming conventions, taxonomy, and metadata schema.
Responsibilities
- Digital Asset Management: Collaborate with the internal/external marketing teams, to manage, organize, and curate digital assets such as images, videos, and graphics, as well as manage user creations and permissions;
- Metadata Management: Drive the development and maintenance of asset taxonomy, and metadata models incorporating industry standards. Enhance asset searchability and categorization;
- Asset Optimization: Ensure digital assets are appropriately formatted, tagged, and optimized for various marketing channels, including websites, social media, email campaigns, and advertising. Define and set a policy for archiving of inactive titles and content;
- Asset Retrieval: Assist in the retrieval of digital assets by guiding the support team and users to the expected assets and ensuring that the correct versions are used for marketing materials;
- Quality Control: Conduct quality checks and reports on digital assets to ensure they meet established standards, are error-free, and align with guidelines. Participate in quality assurance steps to validate that DAM features and updates are working as expected;
- Process improvement: Identify ways to organize and manage the entire digital asset lifecycle from creation to distribution, production, and archiving.
Qualifications
- Taxonomy: working experience and knowledge of metadata schemas, taxonomy, tagging, and content categorization;
- DAM background: Strong organizational skills and previous experience with Digital Asset Management tools such as Orange Logic (Coretex);
- Process: ability to create and follow best practices and processes to make Digital Asset Management (DAM) operations more reliable and stronger;

On being a Production Manager at Ubisoft Toronto
As a Production Manager at UbiTO, you’ll guide the teams producing Gameplay Objects. You will help secure the Direction, plan the work and follow up across multiple team to aid in creating and placing these impactful components in the game, aligning with other content teams to adhere to the broader vision.
Support direct reports, while being responsible for defining, planning, prioritizing, communicating, and tracking project deliverables. You have a wide perspective of the production of assets: a realistic grasp of your team’s capabilities, thorough understanding of interdependencies, knowledge of steps to be taken, and awareness of where to focus energy. You support your team by fostering a supportive environment and ensuring they are prepared and able to ship quality content to our players on time.
What you'll do as a Production Manager at Ubisoft Toronto:
- Partner with the core team to understand the overall game vision & requirements;
- Work with the Production Director, Associate Producers, Art Directors and Team Leads to develop the production strategies to ensure the teams involved in the production of Gameplay Objects are delivering to the best of their abilities;
- Define and plan the project scope of your specific deliverables in conjunction with the relevant teams, build and maintain a roster of our Gameplay Objects, complete with all the pertinent information related to them;
- Collaborate with the other Production Managers to help maintain the roadmaps of the participating teams’ work and ensure that our planning remains achievable within time, quality and scope and take measures to rebalance when necessary.
- Keep production tools (JIRA, Confluence, and others) up to date to properly reflect status and progression. Ensure that proper practices are followed when using these tools, so that other teams you collaborate with know when and where their input is needed.
- Regularly meet with the pertinent Directors and Team Leads to discuss task allocation, progress and setbacks, communicate milestones, prioritization of deliverables, present updates, address concerns, give direction and gather feedback. This includes collaborating with the other Production Managers in sprint planning.
- Track, monitor, and assess the overall Gameplay Object production schedule; rescoping & adjusting your strategies when need be;
- Maintain the working relationship with other Production Managers. Ensure that the delivery, the approvals and debugging of the Gameplay Object deliverables runs smoothly, on a timely manner, and keep other teams up to date on progress and issues;
- Liaise with other production managers to ensure consistency, remove blockers, and mitigate risks.
- Prepare and evaluate post-mortems to continuously improve our Gameplay Object production processes.
