The sixth edition of the Ubisoft Toronto NEXT competition produced incredible works from some of Ontario’s talented game development students. On Wednesday, May 8th we invited the finalists, their families, and educators to join us at Ubisoft Toronto to reveal this year’s winners in Animation, Concept Art, Level Design, Modelling, Programming, and User Interface.
The winning students will make the transition to game developer in the coming weeks, as they will join the studio for three-month apprenticeships to work with some of the industry’s top talent creating open world video games.

Ubisoft Toronto NEXT is an annual competition designed to display the talent of video game development students in Ontario and to help kick-start their careers in the industry. Winners of each category spend the summer learning from the studio’s top talent with a paid apprenticeship at Ubisoft Toronto.
