Ubisoft Toronto is proud to announce that it has joined the development of Rainbow Six Siege X, working alongside Ubisoft Montreal and the global Rainbow Six team to help shape the future of the iconic tactical shooter franchise.
“Getting to work on Rainbow Six was one of the reasons I joined Ubisoft. It’s amazing how the brand has evolved over the years into the tactical team shooter it is today,” said Darryl Long, Managing Director at Ubisoft Toronto. “We’re eager to draw on and deepen our expertise in first-person shooters and Ubisoft’s Anvil game engine on a title that has profoundly shaped the genre. It’s exciting to help realize this bold new vision while staying true to what makes Siege so special.”
Available today, Siege X is the most ambitious evolution of the Rainbow Six Siege franchise to date. It introduces a sweeping transformation to the game’s core experience that includes a visual enhancements, deeper tactical gameplay, and a host of new features designed to welcome new players while challenging veterans.
Backed by a strong track record in AAA game development and a passion for immersive, high-stakes gameplay, Ubisoft Toronto will collaborate closely with partner studios—including lead studio Ubisoft Montreal, as well as teams in Barcelona, Blue Byte, Bucharest, Kyiv, Red Storm, Reflections, Saguenay, and Shanghai—to craft the best possible experience for players worldwide.
