We know it’s been a bit of a longer wait than usual for the announcement of the 2020 finalists for the Ubisoft Indie Series presented by National Bank. These are unprecedented times as we all continue to navigate the ever-changing situation around COVID-19, which inevitably affected our timelines for the Ubisoft Indie Series. As we continue to adjust, we are moving forward with a new way to celebrate Ontario indie developers, and we’re excited to reveal this year’s finalists!
Now in its fourth year, the Ubisoft Indie Series highlights the exciting games in development from the Ontario indie community. We are thrilled to see the growing creative talent and hard work coming out of these studios each year. After a thoughtful review process, Ubisoft and National Bank experts have selected seven studios to compete for the Grand Prize and National Bank Special Prize.
These studios will have a chance to participate in a digital pitch session and digitally demo their games for a jury comprised of Ubisoft and National Bank experts, with the Grand Prize winner receiving a Ubisoft mentorship and $50,000 towards bringing their game to market.
Finalists are also eligible for the National Bank Special Prize, which includes a personalized financial diagnosis and counsel provided by National Bank experts along with a $25,000 prize.
