The Ubisoft Toronto NXT Showcase is an annual competition designed to showcase the talent of video game development students in Ontario and to help kick-start their careers in the industry by awarding apprenticeships to competition winners. Apprenticeship winners spend the summer working with and learning from the studio’s top talent.

This is the fifth edition of the Ubisoft Toronto NXT Showcase. Last year, 14 students made the transition from student to game developer at Ubisoft Toronto through this program.

To be eligible you must:

Participants must create a 3D video game environment diorama of one of the two locations provided within the brief.
Modelling Submissions Now Closed
>Participants have the choice of creating an animation using one of two audio clips provided or an animation sequence using one of the three gameplay actions outlined in the brief.
Animation Submissions Now Closed
Participants must create a 2D concept art of one of the two locations provided within the brief.
Concept Art Submissions Now Closed
Participants must create and submit a game as outlined within the brief, made entirely in C++ using the provided API.
